Description
Canon A-1
The Canon A-1 is an advanced-level SLR 35mm camera for use with interchangeable Canon FD breech lock mount or Canon New FD bayonet mount lenses. It was manufactured by Canon in Japan from March 1978 to 1985 and was the first SLR to offer an electronically controlled programmed autoexposure mode.
The Canon A-1 requires a 6V 4SR44 or a 6V 4LR44 battery (or similar) in order to operate since it uses an electronic controlled shutter for the different modes: manual exposure, shutter priority, aperture priority and programmed autoexposure mode.
Canon A-1 serialnr 468935
The camera body was fully rebuild and the inner and outer light seals have been replaced. The shutter speeds as well as the metering system have been calibrated and are within factory tolerances.
The body itself is in very good condition with some usage marks.
